Tania Hungerford
Tania Hungerford is both the First Year Coordinator for students and a tutor in many subjects. She has been teaching adults and working with Anthroposophy for 25 years, drawing on a background in sculpture, social science, biography work, counselling and art therapy. She teaches units including Sculpture, Form Drawing, the Twelve Senses, Human Development, the Four Temperaments, Professional Communication and Conflict Resolution, understanding and working with trauma, and developing inclusive teaching practices for working with children with individual learning needs. Tania has offered many professional development programs to Waldorf teachers in schools around Australia and in Asia.
Tom Hungerford
Tom Hungerford is the Second Year Coordinator and has taught in Steiner Schools for over 25 years, principally as a Bothmer Gymnast and Physical Education Teacher but also extensively in the high school in the Hard Crafts. Most recently Tom was a Class Teacher at Sophia Mundi Steiner School in Melbourne. Tom has been teaching at the Seminar for 30 years. He teaches Anthroposphical Studies, Pedagogy, Epochs, Pedagogical Drama, Hard Crafts, Festivals, Physical Education and is also a Second Year Student Co-ordinator and the Practical Placement Co-ordinator
Larissa Lemon
Larissa has worked in Steiner education for over 15 years. She was a Class Teacher at Little Yarra Steiner School for 11 years, teaching classes 1 to 8. At the Seminar, Larissa teaches Literacy, Maths, Science, Form Drawing, Geometry, Drama, Health, and Geography as well as Classroom Management and Communication. She enjoys drawing and painting and is currently writing and illustrating books for young readers.
Julia White
Julia White taught art throughout the secondary school (Years 7-12) at the Melbourne Rudolf Steiner School for 20 years. She has been a tutor at the Melbourne Rudolf Steiner Seminar teaching Art History, painting and sculpture. She also has been a tutor in our Steiner High School Intensive. Julia is a practicing artist who exhibits her work.
Pauline Lucas
Pauline Lucas has taught three Class Teacher cycles (1-8) in a Steiner School. Pauline’s special interests are the rich treasury of stories from the Class teacher period as well as poetry and literature. At the Seminar she has taught subjects including Geography, English, Teacher Inner Development, and Storytelling. She has presented the Classes 2 and/or 4 curriculum for seven years at the Class Teacher Intensives held at Glenaeon Steiner School in Sydney. Pauline has also completed many years of Eurythmy training.
Kelly Papas
Kelly Papas is a Eurythmist and teacher. She completed her Eurythmy training at the Aurora Australis School of Eurythmy and the Arts and teaches children from Prep to year 12 at a number of Steiner Schools in Melbourne. Kelly brings Eurythmy once a week to the Advanced Diploma students throughout the two years of this course.
