Communicate and Relate Professionally
and Handle Conflict

Overview 

Communication is the ‘Art of Arts’ – a dynamic and transformative force that shapes our relationships, work, and inner growth.  This course offers fresh insights and practical skills to enrich the way we connect with others.

Together we will explore various communication skills including anthroposophical considerations:
- Communication in various settings, in personal and professional relationships and relationship stages;
- How we might prepare ourselves inwardly and outwardly for a conversation;
- Different ways of speaking and deep listening; the responsibilities of the speaker and the listener;
- Conflict – a call for development!   Modes of handling conflict;
- Meaningful artistic exercises to enhance our understanding of communication, including drawing, poetry, clay work, journaling, reflective practice.

This course is for everyone and requires no prior experience or specialist knowledge. It offers knowledge and skills to educators, therapists, and anyone wishing to bring richness into every day life and work.

Dates: 14 October to 18 November 2026
Days & time: Wednesdays 7-8.30pm (Melbourne time)
Duration: 6 weeks | Live Online: 1.5 hours per week. | Each session will be recorded and available for viewing for the duration of the course.  Recordings will be removed at the end of the term.  It is the responsibility of the student to keep up to date with the sessions.
Tutor: Tania Hungerford

Educated at a Waldorf school in Germany, Tania has maintained a lifelong connection to Steiner Education and Anthroposophy. She is both a course designer and a tutor, having taught adults in the Advanced Diploma of Rudolf Steiner Education for over 30 years. She draws on a background in sculpture, social science, biography work, counselling and art therapy. Areas of teaching include working with trauma, inclusive teaching practices, communications and conflict resolution. Other topics and part-time courses she teaches are: sculpture, form drawing, the Twelve Senses, human development, and the Four Temperaments.

Tania's qualifications include a Certificate in Steiner Education; Advanced Diploma in Rudolf Steiner Education; Certificate in Biography Counselling; Bachelor of Social Science/Counselling; Grad Diploma in Experiential and Creative Art; Masters of Therapeutic Arts Practice;  Certificate of Training and Assessment.

Withdrawing and refunds Please notify us by email if you will be withdrawing from a course. 

If you withdraw prior to course beginning we will refund any fees paid less a $100 enrolment processing fee.
If you withdraw  after the first session of the course, we will refund any fees paid, less $155 administration fee.
If you withdraw after the second week, no refunds can be given.

Our part-time courses come with a certificate of Professional Development hours, subject to meeting the course requirements.Each evening will be live streamed and recorded.  We require your attendance of 100% of sessions, viewed either live or by the recording, in order to gain the acknowledgement of PD hours completed.
